Once Bron gets punched in the face he immediately starts separating himself from the situation and looking for an exit or excuse. That's just how I feel, sorry. Great guy, legend, one of the top 3-5 best ever. But mentally I've always felt there's something about him that just turns me off, and this season's antics are really proof of it.
That's complete nonsense. He's had to overcome adversity in every place he ever played, there wasn't a single one where he succeeded from the start. And he had some of the most epic come-from-behind series wins and back-against-the-wall performances in the process.
If 7 years on the Cavs, that 2011 Finals collapse, going down 2-1 to Indiana and 3-2 to Boston with Wade hurting and Bosh out, going down 3-2 against the Spurs and being down 10 in the 4th of the deciding game, losing Kyrie and Love in 2015, going down 3-1 to Golden State in 2016, losing Kyrie in 2018, and the entire 2019 season aren't "punches in the face", then what is? Yet in every case he either grinded the fukk out of the postseason with epic performances that year or came back and won a title with the same team the next year.
Doesn't he literally have the highest scoring average ever in Game 7s and elimination games? Not to mention won something like six straight Game 7s going back 13 years?
