When this occurred I didn't pay much attention to it. They were looking for a suspect for months and when it landed on this Lewis guy and I saw his picture I was like, "Really?" but didn't give it much thought after that.
Last week I was talking to a co-worker about it and she mentioned another one of our co-workers who is from the area thought Lewis was innocent. He said the area has heavy mob ties and this was most likely a hit put on the Dad who usually jogs with her. I was like, "Wow, Ok that's something new I haven't heard." So when I saw the paper this morning I was like,
maybe dude is right.
Anyone gotgot press that casts doubt on the narrative Lewis killed her?

I remember talking to him about this case when they showed this kid...
He shook his head at me and said "central park 5 all over again"...
He said the fact they're not charging him with rape means he didn't do it...Said the scenario the NYPD put together where this kid with zero motive killed her and somebody else raped her is nonsense...If there was two of them and this kid willingly confessed to the crime why wouldn't he name the accomplice? If he didn't have an accomplice and he just killed her well then who raped her like you said she was for months? Some random perp saw the body in the marsh and decided to commit necrophilia?
Makes far more sense this was a hit, somebody who knew her did it and removed her clothing to make her look like a whore...This broad apparently was a known thot that was fukking around with married men in a neighborhood known to be mob affiliated...Media won't report that though, they'll do anything to paint the pretty white girl to be an innocent angel...My money says one of those mob wives put a hit on her...
Case was fishy from the start.. I called duck tales from the gate.. if anyone knows the history of Howard beach you already know what time it is and why this shyt might be a set up
So you had a whole police dept looking for the body & the father just happens to find it ?.

Another thing that was very fishy the Dad immediately stated he thinks this was a random crime. Seems he was trying to lead people away from the "why did this happen"question and make it without motive from jump.

Never mind the fact he lead them right to the body...
I find it far more plausible her old man killed her cuz he was embarrassed by her whoring around than this random kid doing it because he hates women...

We need a juror who was against convicting dude to step forward and give their reasons.

I wrote up a little profile before they caught the suspect, and it was fairly accurate, I believe he is guilty, but the case just became a mess.
Most people don't understand what motivates a sexually related killing, and the kind of suspects that commit it, so they form wild theories about the Mob and incest, or whatever.
The Dad didn't find the body. That isn't accurate.
