Her line of products includes the type of apparel purchased by millions of people earning a menial wage and living check to check, no different than what Michael Kors releases. You're acting like her shyt is selling for Hermes prices. :francis:

There is a Kate Spade, and Tory Birch in the local outlet mall 15 minutes away. I see hood chicks I went to high school with who had kids at 17, and are bank tellers wearing Kate Spade and Tory Birch. Michael Kors is even worse. They have that at TJ Maxx and DSW

You outed your poor status again acting like you are richer than the people who post here. Tory Burch is not a luxury brand.

Like I said before, any bytch can go to Macys and buy that shyt.

Designers go through life cycles. When I was in high school, all the girls wore Tory Birch, Lily Pulitzer, Kate Spade. This was back in 2001. Most likely, if you were introduced to any of these designers through ratchets that work as bank tellers or at Macy's, then you caught on at the end of the the designers life cycle. Much like Michael Kors, which didn't become accessible until rappers started rapping about it in their songs or Cristal or Escalades or Ralph Lauren. By the time these brands are on the radar of the black community, which most of the time was introduced by rappers, they've already become commercial and are headed toward the end of the their life cycle. Hence why you can now find most of these brands at outlet malls. 18 years ago, you couldn't.

Michael Kors added Michael By Michael Kors, which went into Macys, and all the girls wore the MK bag that looks like a Louis Vuitton knockoff. It's his lower end line equivalent to Armani Exchange, and the Calvin Klein white label. His mid level line is Kors By Michael Kors. Most designers don't start making big money until they do licensing, like cheap Betsey Johnson earrings, or The Tommy Hilfiger shirts that say Tommy Hillfiger. Plus, half the stuff in the outlets is made directly for the outlet.

That Michael Kors “MK” logo has got to be the worse designed logo in modern fashion. Like they found the font Arial and just stopped without even bothering to demo the others. That brand is straight bird status and females with them MK bags/coats/etc deserve the :hhh: face because they have less fashion sense than TC from the Wayans Bros.

I try not to be petty when judging women, but those MK sandals and bags make me look at some women differently. Label whores

The more affordable Michael Kors lines were introduced post-2004/2005. So again, the girls that were wearing these brands in high-school circa 2000-2001 were pretty well-to-do.

Where I'm from we didn't have Macy's. Outlet malls were not even allowed in the region because they attract a lower demographic. Hell, the town next door to us barred Starbucks from trying to open up a location because it didn't "compliment the character of the neighborhood". If you wanted Michael Kors, you had to go to Neiman's, Bloomingdales or Fields to pick that up. And these white girls were wearing this shyt back in high school which is how I became familiar with the brands. Especially Lily Pulitzer.

It is cute that you are trying to clean up the bullshyt that you typed before. But like I stated and will state again, if you are buying that shyt at Macys, it is not a luxury brand. How would the girls at your high school wear Tory Burch in 2001, when the brand was formed in 2004? :jbhmm:

:stopitslime:

I was in high school from 2001-2005 and those are the brands that I remember. I grew up in a preppy area, so folks were wearing preppy brands. And again, Macy's wasn't in the Chicagoland area then. MK was introduced at Bergdorf, so at one time it was considered ultra-luxury. It went through it's life cycle.

Alot of these ppl were so absorbed in their craft, making their dreams, etc that they failed to develop ways of gratification from regular life.

So once their biz goes down, or they can't succeed like they used to, they feel like they have nothing else.
