I a black comedian said this these replies would be different.
True but people feel some I can say it but they can't if you look at some of the replies. It doesn't make sense to me either you feel that way about someone or you don't. I won't co sign it publically if its the wrong person saying it but it doesn't change my actual view on something. That's why its confusing because this is a messageboard not some public platform for famous people so your view however they are should be consistent.

He addresses most social issues thru his instagram. it would be weird for him to switch his comedy to social commentary. Its not what he does.

Some epic shooting of the messenger here.

But I have never heard Kevin Hart speak up on black issues.

That’s his right. But I think any prominent black voices that don’t speak up on the fukkery we are seeing today is suspect.

“Not fukking up his paper” is a weak excuse. Imagine Ali or Kaep using that same excuse.

How is he selling out by not making political jokes? If he’s anti trump, voted against him and does things to give back to the community, all of that matters more than just talking I.e. making political jokes...something that has never been his thing.

Cats in here already say he’s not funny, yet y’all want him to jump into an arena that’s never been his thing. so y’all want him making unfunny political jokes and/or diving into political commentary that might be over his head? not everyone is super involved with or knowledgeable about politics. (Un)fortunately that’s the privilege we have as Americans living in what’s a stable country, despite the underlying racism/capitalism that limits the growth of many groups.
he's selling out because he has come to the conclusion that he needs not to make political comments out of fear of losing money. it's pretty simple. like i said, it's all in how he said it but if that one quote from that one member was anything similar to what he said, i can't respect that.

he's specifically interested in keeping his funds afloat outside of even being real about the situation. the only "realness" he's displaying is self-interest and self-preservation. i don't fault him for wanting that shyt; we all are interested in that. but when you say money is keeping your mouth shut, i can't respect that...

again, choosing to make money by not saying something while still doing something is not selling out. and the last time i checked, jokes/"going in" during a show don't change a damn thing.

the coli talks all this build generational wealth, give to the community shyt...well the more he makes, the more he's able to do both of those. :ohhh: hart does a ton of stuff for the community in philly, that speaks much bigger volumes to me than him making what will inevitably be a corny trump joke.

you keep on talking about making jokes and stand-up. i'm not talking about that. i'm referring to the original quote about an interview so please stop reference his show, jokes, etc. i'm saying if he was interviewed and said what he said, i have no respect for him. donate as much money as you want, actually it's IN HIS ADVANTAGE to donate given his status. but if someone asks you a question about politics and you just like "i'm just here for the money" i have no respect for you. no matter how much money you give to other people. the money is pointless w/o the politics behind them...

You're putting entertainers on too high a pedestal, Ernie.

that's what his quote comes down to, he doesn't make those jokes/commentary so as not to lose fans....at the end of the day, yall are mad he won't make fukking jokes.

and some people don't care about politics, that aint everyone's main concern. i'd rather people stay in their lane than give canned answers or jump in above their head and end up sounding stupid AF because they have no idea what they're talking about.

and the bolded is plain stupid...
