The truth about the situation, Ali was in the wrong.
Even w/o Ashima confirming Ali was in the wrong. If nikkas wasnt so "anti katt" and looked at shyt objectively they could see Ali was on bullshyt with how this went down. Being plugged in with the venue owner and making it to where you get to "open" for anyone who comes to the venue is shytty. Ashima adding context of Ali talking shyt about one of Katt's ppl solidifies it even more that Ali was on bullshyt. Notice everytime Ali bring up the story, he never says he was talking shyt about Katt's ppl. He always makes himself the victim. Hell even when Ali first spoke on it with Willie D years ago, he brings up the "Everyday Im hustlin" song. He frames it as Katt ppl randomly getting mad at the DJ for playing it for no reason, when Katt saying Ali was trying to use that as his entrance song for his set, when Katt was planning on using it. On top of all that, Katt paid the nikka when he probably didnt have to, because he rigged shyt up to "open" for all acts at the venue anyway.
Katt talking about it on Willie D a few years ago timestamp(7:17). Katt keeps the same story he told on Melo shyt. Ali set shyt up to where he performing before Katt. Katt got his own crew and lineup and didnt allow that to happen. Katt said all this before he "knew" who Ali was. He said he is a good comedian and gives him props
With that said, I can see how Ali would find a problem with how Katt talking here, but Katt talking like that because Ali was talking shyt and was trying to "pull rank" on some "I know the venue" ppl. Also Ali talked major shyt about Katt on Willie D pod too, before katt responded above. "I knew katt when he was kat in the hat and had no teeth", type shyt.
Looking at that clip a few years later is funny, Ali seems to be doing great and is a known "celebrity" now.
