Going back and rewatching some of this game Kawhi has somehow gotten WAY better again :blessedspur:
Quite a few times the just give him the ball and he runs the offense :blessedspur:...something he didn't do much of last year he was primarily a finisher and not the initiator
He even got to the line 10 times in the first half :blessedspur:...where last year you could pretty much hack the shyt out of dude and get away with it...
If he starts getting that real superstar you can't touch me without it being a foul then

Spurs just keep grinding and finding gems it's incredible 
He killed the Hawks summer league team.He always been athletic, that's what really caught my eye when I saw him 2 years ago in the summer league. He stepped his offensive game up imo. Never thought he would fit with pop and his system but, got damn, fast forward 2 years later

That Danny Green injury might be a blessing in disguise cause the only thing really holding is minutes...without Danny Simmons is going to be getting around 20 a night cause Anderson isat the 2...
Kawhi becomes virtually impossible to guard when Simmons is aggressive...unlike Danny who can't dribble or pass...

Most Spurs fans have been wanting Simmons to take Danny job for a minute...
Danny is a great defender...but I don't think you can win a chip when your starting 2 guard can't dribble...can't pass...is a streaky shooter...can't average 8 points...and NEVER get's to the line...
Starting shooting guard shooting LESS THAN 1 FREETHROW A GAME...that's not going to cut it anywhere even for a well coached team like the Spurs...

I would keep Danny but you right about him coming off the bench and if he didn't embrace it then there's always the other option
I love his defense, but to be real, I don't value him much to keep anymore. With KD in OKC, having him guard Durant and Kawhi guard Russ was an assest but not anymore. Against GS, we gotta match them offense for offense and we KNOW DG can't create offense for himself or anybody else.
Damn Spurs found another one.

Kind of the same thing with Kyle Anderson...back before we got LMA and Kawhi was still growing into his role we NEEDED a diaw type player to be a playmaker and set guys up...parker and late 30's Tim were still the only two players on our team he could get their own shot...
Now with LMA and Kawhi...those two guys can get any shot they want...anywhere they want...against anybody they want...so we don't really need that playmaking "big" to set people up...Kawhi and LMA are going to get so much attention that just simple passes they make are going to lead to buckets due to the being doubled and in Kawhi case possibly triple teamed...something that we haven't had a player warrant in awhile...

I have no fukking clue how that dude fits on this team...i legit would like to see simmons at the 3 more when Danny comes back...cause this is all just wishful thinking...Danny has been trash on offense going on a year and half and Pop makes every excuse in the book for him
