He still the best tho. He'll come up with something.

People have short memories, last round we were talking about how Kawhi needed more help.

I remember people praying that the Rockets won the series because they didnt think the Spurs would have the firepower to beat the Warriors

Now because they were in position to win one game, they probably would have won the entire series:why:

Houston 126, Spurs 99 game 1 last round. Series was over because the better team lost game 1 am I right:troll:

A team that won an elimination game by 39 points without Kawhi couldnt hold a 30 point lead for 19 minutes without him but we should give them the benefit of the doubt that they were one player away from defeating Goliath in a 7 game series:francis:
There's no basis to assume that the Warriors would magically turn it around after getting their culo blasted simply because the Spurs were able to against Houston. Dantoni has never beaten Pop in all their series matchups, so that rule holding true again isnt much of a surprise.

This Warriors team has always managed to avoid the Spurs, and now they finally get em and of course injuries are the story, as always. The only sample size we have to go on is 2 and a half quarters in which Kawai and San An had Golden State looking confused, outclassed, pointing fingers. And desperate enough to commit a heinous act, the only thing that could save their season.

This is the 2nd straight year that they make it out of the West under dubious circumstances.

After the Warriors beat the healthy Cavs this year, at least you can fantasize about how they were lucky to get past the legendary Spurs:ehh:

Again, my opinions are based only on what we've seen, not fantasy. Assuming the Warriors would have just started dominating the Kawai-led Spurs after being dominated by them - that is the fantasy.

Naw you're assuming that winning game one means they were gonna win the series. Holding on to a scenario that we will never have the answer to is fantasy.

If Kawai doesnt get hurt, the best case scenario for the Warriors is a 1-1 split going into the next two in San Antonio. :usure:

Objects in motion tend to stay in motion. Objects at rest tend to stay at rest. In general its a rule that its more likely that the way things are going are more likely to continue that way rather than reverse course in the opposite direction, particularly when there were no signs that the Warriors were about to figure things out. I believe Zaza, who has a history of dirty play, intentionally tried to sway the matchup in GS favor by taking the guy killing them out of the picture (much like the Warriors did to the Thunder w Durant.) This supports my theory that not only do I believe they were in trouble, but Golden State knew it too.

So since the Warriors are so beatable, there should be no complaints about them being too stacked right? :jbhmm:

Also the west is a more difficult path than the east when healthy right?:ohhh:

But they've come back from a sizeable deficit against this team before. Wouldn't that be the basis?
No more than believing the Spurs would continue to blow them out like they did in game 1 of the season and game 1 of the playoff series.

For most, the actual basis of believing the Warriors were def winning the series despite what we saw game 1 is because its the Warriors and the hypetrain has been calling them all-time great for 3 years and ignoring everything else.

Debatably, but the Warriors havent faced many healthy opponents in 3 years, so :manny:
