And he certainly wasn't exerting himself on the defensive end either. Or, um, anywhere.
Scoring is Kawhi's #2 function on this team. Ripping him down for scoring 21 just because he didn't get points in the 4th in a road game when he was clearly wiped is a bit weak. Sure, other greats get ripped down for less, but that's by idiots.

I think that's up for debate. The litmus test for him was always going to be the playoffs, given his poor showing last postseason and whether or not he could trade baskets or generate offfense for his team like KD, Westbrook, Curry and LeBron do down the stretch of games.

I think Pop limiting the Spurs minutes in the regular season is actually a hindrance to his team. Becuz they play what 26-30 mpg during the season and in the playoffs your gonna most likely have to log 38-40 mpg. That's a big increase and you could tell last night that Kawhi was gassed. He went all out in the 3rd and didn't have anything left for money time.
I also don't think he is aggressive enough for a supposedly #1 or #2 scoring option. And in general I don't think the Spurs can score enuff to even reach the Finals. I hope OKC continues their strategy of staying at home on the Spurs 3 point shooters and making guys like Diaw, LMA and Kawhi into scorers off the dribble instead of receiving passes from the ball movement SA is accustom to.
