Compared to 99.9%, this album is mid. The production whilst good, isn’t varied enough and the stretch from Go DJ to Oh No sounds like one long song. I was disappointed with Culture as I was expecting some heat, especially of the back of the Be Your Girl remix.

I give this album a 3/5. I’ll revist songs like 2 The Music and Go DJ but other than that, I’m not excited. Vex Oh is definitely gonna be playing at afrobeat parties though.

I feel this is a very different album to his debut, he really leaned into the sound that made him famous and that he loves here - less variety and less immediate but creating a cohesive album, expanding on your original sound and improving your songwriting is just as hard and challenging for an artist. To me this comes across as a project that is more genuine to who he is, he doesn't have to show off or show variety, he just does what he loves and the grooves and vibes are great as always. The trio in a row of Freefall, Culture and Worse In Me are fire! I think it is way more subtle and indulgent but some of these songs will stand out once the album gets more plays.. one of my faves this year. Had Puff Lah on repeat at the gym, a rapper needs to jump on it

I like this better than 99.9% because its not chasing the radio and hits.

He proved he can do that already. This is really the real him.

He really made a "set-it-and-forget-it" album.
