If Okada is at 1, Kenny better be 2 or 3. The matches with Okada, the US title tournament match with Ishii and Lethal.
From what I saw, he's 5th behind Reigns (4), Styles (2), & KO (3)

He's an extremely top most popular wrestler in the world and he keeps belts on the regular....makes sense to meKevin Owens spent the second half of 2016 and the first half of 2017 getting pinned on RAW by Roman Reigns until Goldberg finally ended his miserable Universal title run, and he's 3rd overall? Alright bet.
I think its more that he benefits from having big stage matches. He sells very well imo, and some of his opponents that he has had great matches, like Evil, michael elgin arent outstanding. Naito, omega, shibata clearly are though. The stage and the stakes of a match are a huge part of it. Rememeber when punk and daniel bryan were in hour 2 of raw oddly after being champion? Matches werent that big a deal even though they were very good. Put em at summerslam and mania and theyre 9 stars and shyt.I'm just not seeing the love affair with Okada.
He's one of those guys who benefitted from having great opponents. Son finisher is a weak standing clothesline.

Soon
Now that is a dude who feels like he's on the verge of a special run
I wasat the number of young people in the crowd that were rocking with him at the G1 - right from the start, too.
I don't know if it's because of the way his non-conformist persona stands out against Japanese culture, but whatever it is - it works.
It's most likely that. That kind of gimmick has worked like gangbusters in puro ever since Choshu (and Maeda, in a "shooty" kinda way) did it in the 80's.
