I just dont get how someone as good as he is lacks that Leadership dog in him.
Guy is the best scorer in my lifetime and has the mindset of a b-tier player.
He tries to play if off by being overly pragmatic: "Why wouldnt I go to a easier situation?'
"Why wouldnt I go to a place with better support and shelter from criticism?"
Not realizing that sports is not the place for logic, especially the fukking NBA. Emotional narratives are what create the NBA mythos, player hierarchies, and shape the legacies of the players.
The guy committed what was the ultimate NBA sin: be a legendary, once in a lifetime player, 2nd best player in the league for nearly a decade, IN YOUR PRIME, and not only ring chase by teaming up ....but go to your rivals who sonned you in legendary fashion AND defer all leadership and responsibility to the lesser Superstar.
All the "logic" in the world cant clean that shyt up.
