I said it then and I’ll say it again, going to GS was the worst possible career move KD could’ve made. He never really seemed happy his entire time there and the media and non GS fans will never give him credit for winning championships b/c he went there :yeshrug:

He saw what Bron did but forgot that the Heat came out the gate so trash and flawed in 2011, that the narrative often flip flopped to portray them as underdogs at times during their first 2 years... that ended up benefiting Lebron, bc his inevitable win felt "earned" to the public.

Whereas with KD joining GSW, there was nothing to wipe that stigma of "taking the easy way out". Just easy work. 16-1 for a 'ship in year 1.

:francis: To be fair to KD, Ethan Strauss has an incredibly punchable face.

:yeshrug: If he said some bullshyt about me i'd stop what I was doing and air him out if I saw him too. but im not famous.

And The fact that he put out this long messy hoe azz hit piece article a full year after he left, leads me to believe that KD was probably justified in doing so.

That being said, theres hundreds of Ethan Strausses in the NY media market, except theyre worse. They wont wait a year. You could run up on them and scream and cry all you want. THeyll put out an article the very next DAY about how you ran up on them, and then hours later theyll be right in your face with a recorder at the postgame after a huge loss asking you every out of pocket question you told them not to ask you. Youre literally just a walking story to them.

KD is in for a huge awakening next year in NY when they're not winning as much as expectations

This makes me want Brooklyn to flame out in the playoffs to see how KD reacts to getting blazed by the NY media. That Mr. Unreliable headline will be child's play compared to what the Post will do. :banderas:

If KD is the best player in the world, then the expectation should definitely be for KD + Kyrie + B level role players to win the east, right? Assuming he's 100% recovered/healthy.

It'll be interesting to see him run the same gauntlet Kawhi did with Toronto, and that Lebron did for years.

I think if kd was 5’10 and wasnt freak athlete and one of the greatest ever he would’ve killed him self years ago with that pathetic self esteem

only thing keeping him from killing himself is that he’s rich and 7 feet tall. Dudes one of the biggest weirdos in the league in recent years

“When former Warriors bench scorer Marreese Speights returned to Oracle Arena, he got a hearty ovation from the crowd...“KD—who once complained to a Warriors fan account over Twitter DM that Speights was among the players more accepted by Warriors fans than he—was not pleased.

After the blowout Warriors win that followed, as he waited to take the podium stage, Durant was fixated on a TV that hung from the wall. Speights was with the local TV guys, yukking it up. “Mo Buckets,” Durant loudly groused, shaking his head. “How can you call yourself ‘Mo Buckets’ when you never averaged twenty points a game.”

This man wrote fictional tale because of his hatred for KD , shyt sounds so ridiculous, I refuse to believe even KD is this insecure :laff:

It's funny, LeBron's first year in LA was a disaster. He was pouty, dogged it on the court and tried to get half the team traded. The fans booed him and chanted "We Want Kobe." He never lashed out at the fans and he definitely never said anything negative about Kobe.

I don’t get KD chasing Curry’s level of admiration. Curry was a homegrown star for a team/fanbase who had a dearth of real stars, let alone drafted. The Curry’s are the Bay’s Obama’s, you not gonna be on their level. And after that is Dray, he specifically gets love like a real dude from the Town. And then there’s Klay who is just cool AF. KD was a star, likely the best player on that court, but he couldn’t compete when it came to the Bay’s authentic love for the big 3
