Abe Polin cause his friend was the Israeli prime minister who got gunned down by some right wing Israeli in the 1990s

So Polin had this reaction "I own a team named Bullets and Bullets killed my friend " and then changed the name

Ted Leonsis is itching to change it back to the Bullets but can't really do it as it would disrespect the Polin family... but the uniforms they been using since 2011-2012 are basically retro versions of the Bullets jerseys during the glory days of the 1970s
