Fadeaways were around before Jordan but he's the one who perfected it and players model it after his. Look at how fadeaways were shot before Jordan and then look at fadeaways after Jordan.

But you cant stand when Jordan gets praised for things. :mjlol:
He can never be honest. It's pretty sad when you think about it :francis:

Claimed Jordan INVENTED the fadeaway and the entire fukking thread already mocked him for it, don't try to make it about me. :russ:

Imagine claiming that all those guys were only using the fadeaway cause MJ had invented it for them. :mjlol:

Fadeaways were around for 30 years (Baylor, Big O, Wilt, Sikma, and also a ton of lesser guys), and in MJ's era there were players like Hakeem, Ewing, Malone, Mullin, etc. who were using the fadeway effectively at the same time. It absolutely was a signature move for MJ but you can praise him for his craft without making up mythical bullshyt.

sheeeeeet….James Edwards from the Pistons fadeaway was deadly at Center. That shyt was unstoppable. Comments section heads are going in talking about it. He was doing that regularly before MJ

There's a completely fair argument that MJ has the best fadeaway (Dirk, Kobe, Hakeem stans might get in their feelings). But claiming he invented it is like claiming that Kyrie invented the crossover. It was already established and perfected long before he came on the scene. MJ didn't do anything particularly different with the shot except that his athleticism and talent allowed him to do it more spectacularly than some of the more groundbound or less ambidextrous guys who came before him.

James Edwards had the GOAT fadeaway in the 80s. That shyt was unstoppable. He used abuse Kareem with that shyt . :russ:

He's literally asking for a trade right now, and I'm the disingenuous one? :dahell:

Sometimes I can't tell if y'all are trolling or just stupid.

Asking for a trade is NOT the same as leaving multiple teams in free agency like lebron& kd has done

Kd may not even get traded, again you’re being disingenuous

I fukk with most your posts real talk , except your anti Jordan/90’s agenda but you’re not being real rn at all

First off you're moving the goalposts. The initial claim was "Moving to a different team every few years", not "leaving in free agency every few years". You had to completely change the claim to even start your argument.

And the obvious reason the accusation is being brought up right now is because KD just demanded a trade to play for his 4th team in 15 years. When his career is looked back on, no one gonna say, "Well he only demanded a trade that last time, he didn't leave in free agency, so that's not as bad". If you don't like players moving teams, demanding a trade in a lot shadier way of doing it than playing out your contract and then moving on.

Unrestricted free agency didn't even exist until 1988, so the ONLY way a star could force his way out before then was by demanding a trade or telling a team that he was refusing to play and so there was no point to resigning him.

But even before unrestricted free agency existed, there were stars that forced a move by asking their team or even straight demanding the trade and saying they wouldn't play until they got moved. That's why guys like Wilt, Moses, and Barkley moved repeatedly - even Kareem demanded a trade. Claiming that LeBron "invented" switching teams multiple times was a straight falsehood just like the "MJ invented the fadeaway" lie.

I don't fukk with narratives and I'm gonna call them out when I see them. Thanks for the props but it doesn't mean I'm not going to

MJ had the greatest fadeaway of all time. The amount of separation he created. His footwork. Being able to shoot over either shoulder which kept the defender stressed. Along with the ability to make it look as effortless as he did. It's not even close. Kobe had a great fadeaway, but he didn't create the separation MJ was able to and it wasn't quite as consistently effortless. TMac had an underrated one too, though he shot it flat and wasn't as good shooting over his left shoulder as he was the right.

I used to always root against those Pistons and Buddha would hit fadeaways in the post & Laimbeer would hit 3s or long 2s that would piss me off.

Bird had a nice fadeaway too. He made one to beat LA in the famous McHale/Rambis clothesline game.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
This is something that happens when you don't have media training. The media, and people social media, will ask you about a person but in a negative way. And someone always falls for it and starts speaking negatively about the person in question.

To say Jordan was JUST shooting a fadeaway that was hyped up is a crazy statement to make. Of course he wouldn't have made it if not baited into it. But he fell for the bait. Jordan used the SAME fadeaway for a good 6 years and nobody was stopping it. And it looked pretty. Stans didn't just "hype it up". The shyt was working on nikkas on the way to rings.

But KD knows that. Usually when a person falls for the bait, they know better. But they direct the anger at the wrong person and then it becomes MJ vs KD's fadeaway, when he should have just said "nice shot" and moved on

Laimbeer jumpers were the worst. I don't know what it was but that player was not supposed to have a jumper. He looked and played like some unskilled thug and then would hit that shyt from 18 feet.
