Did you really know? And if you didn't know are you a culture vulture?
. I just found out today!
is my hip hop card revoked?
I dont listen to jack Harlow nor am I a fan, but I find it ridiculous that people are mad at him for not knowing brandy and Ray j were related when most people don't even know snoop Dogg is their cousin
Even more ridiculous, people expect him to know brandys catalog??? Wtf?? He was born In 1998, brandy was washed up by the time he was in 2nd grade. On top of that, brandy never had any top tier hip hop songs to stand out from the R&B lane, her biggest hit was the boy is mine. I would be more upset if he didn't know Lauryn hills catalog, she got classic hip hop records with nas, the fugees and herself!!
I'll say this as well, feel how you want to feel, Hip hop has dominated American culture for the past 30 years. If Harlow was born in 98 and grew up strictly listening to hip hop is he REALLY a culture vulture? I think I saw a video of him making rap songs at like age 9 or some shyt, i don't think he falls in that category if hip hop was a part of his upbringing
Now if we saw him making country music like post Malone then switch up mid career to a rapper than yea absolutely. But if he grew up in it and loves the craft, then let that cac be.
One more thing....95% of rappers of his generation AND before don't give a fukk about 90s music. That shyt is old ppl music to them, we the old people now fellas get used to it
