Don't get me wrong, this album was dope and all that but its no classic. All you nikkas frontin talkin bout playin this shyt everyday front to back :comeon:

This shyt has so many skippables for a so-called classic bruh :sadcam:

Real :heh:
Compton :whoa:
good kid :scusthov:
Poetic Justice
Art of Peer Pressure (minus the intro)
Swimming Pools :yeshrug:

All skips and thats half of the damn album. Could've replaced a couple of those with Black Boy Fly and Cartoon n Cereal.

compton is the weakest track on there imo its still a good song but all the other tracks are great to classic status.. think the chorus hurts it

I don't play it everyday, but when I'm on one of my 4+ hour road trips it does it a spin after I've burn through all of my freshly downloaded mixtapes.

I still spin it once a week or so, its a classic

That said, second half is def a lot weaker than first half. I could listen to the first half of the album on a loop for hours

Just went back to this album. I skip back seat freestyle and poetic justice sometimes. I agree it's a fukking downer overall. shyt held me down while being homeless from the hurricane last year though :to:

I skip "Poetic Justice", that's it.

Real and good kid are the WORST sons on that album

lyrically there two of the best

guess you didnt like or catch the message in these tracks.. how the albums sequenced "good kid" obviously is the title track and the content in the song is there for a reason it sums up where kendricks mentality is in the "story" as a "good kid" no coincidence that next track is "MAAD CITY" -- the dualities :ohhh::lolbron:

ook inside these walls and you see them having withdrawals
Of a prisoner on his way
Trapped inside your desire
To fire bullets that stray
Track a tire just tell you I'm tired and ran away
I should ask a choir what do you require
To sing a song that acquire me to have faith
As the record spin I should pray
For the record I recognize that I'm easily prey
I got ate alive yesterday
I got animosity building
It's probably big as a building
Me jumping off of the roof
Is just me playing it safe
But what am I supposed to do
When the topic is red or blue
And you understand that I ain't
But know I'm accustomed to
Just a couple that look for trouble
And live in the street with rank
No better picture to paint than me walking from bible study
And called his homies because he had said he noticed my face
From a function that tooken place
They was wondering if I bang
Step on my neck and get blood on your Nike checks
I don't mind because one day you respect
The good kid, m.A.A.d. city[/QUOTE]
