It has become my most played album of all time AFTER Stillmatic & Doggystyle
Only song I don't play outside the context of the album is Real

and the art of the peer pressure is easily one of the best story telling songs of the last years

Why you worried about how we listen to an album?

Does him getting some praise & critical acclaim for a pretty good debut release really affect you that much bruh?

You skippin 7 songs is on you bruh. Don't push your shytty taste for good music on us :pacspit:

m.A.A.D city

yride down Rosecrans
It got ugly, waving your hand out the window. Check yo self
Uh, warriors and Conans
Hope euphoria can slow dance with society
The driver seat the first one to get killed
Seen a light-skinned nikka with his brains blown out
At the same burger stand, where hang out
Now this is not a tape recorder saying that he did it
But ever since that day, I was lookin at him different
That was back when I was nine
Joey packed the nine
Pack to stand on every porch is fine
We adapt to crime, pack a van with four guns at a time
With the sliding door, fukk is up?
fukk you shootin for if you ain't walkin up?
You fukkin punk, pickin up the fukkin pump
Pickin off you suckers, suck a dikk or die or sucker punch
Or warn the bullets comin from
AK's, AR's, "aye y'all. Duck."
That's what momma said when we was eatin that free lunch
Aw man, God damn, all hell broke loose
You killed my cousin back in '94. fukk yo truce
Now crawl yo head in that noose
You wind up dead on the news

i love this fukkin album its hard to judge each song indivsually since there all tied in to each other.. this album is like a play.. each song is like an act and they all mesh together to make one long cohesive song..

crazy we have very similar tastes...

liteally since i have PAID for this album(which i havnt done for almost 3yrs before GKMC deuted) thats how impressed i was by this work there may have been a day here or 2 that i didnt listen to any songs but this is one of the few albums i have EVER listened to that i pretty much listen to straight through every track...shyts like a movie yeah there are stronger parts at certain points in the album but since its so cohesive track to track it just feels right playin it straight through

I'm just sayin its not a classic just like people say it is. You're only allowed to praise and not criticize?

indeed.. I'm now listening to s80 coz I don't want to overplay gkmc but gkmc will always be one of my favorites.

I can't compare this album to anything else in rap music. The overall experience is so full that you have to reach outside of music to find something similar to compare it to.

Edit;: Album will probably go down as a classic, a lot of people love it/respect it, one of the most acclaimed albums and it made everybody step his game up.. as Guru said, the album captured a moment in time.
And the idiots who'll say "No I don't play it anymore" are the ones who didn't even fukk with kendrick lmao,

And individual doesn't give the classic status to an album, so no one cares if you don't like it, I don't like reasonable doubt but it's still a classic :hah:

Dorne.
Honestly I skip Art of Peer Pressure, Sing about me, I'm Dying of Thirst, and Real the most. But I loved the skits in Real.

It's a modern classic, but compared to other it just ain't all that. I skip Real, Compton, Poetic Justice (Sometimes), Swimming Pools (never really felt this track).

Still play it at least once a month.

Not if your argument is some trash. Just cuz you don't like it doesn't mean it's universally wack. Your thought process going into making this thread was the same as a third graders breh.

Yes. I do nearly every day. Makes me feel bad that I barely listen to anything else. There are very good/great albums that came out this year. But, this is incredible.
