why did you try to listen to it again if you didn't like it at first ?

I have NEVER listened to Ready to die because I don't like biggie and I really don' care if it's a classic or not,... not gonna give it a listen because fellas on the-coli love it

btw, listened to gkmc twice yesterday, damn, mind blown again.

I tried to listen again because two friends who I respect their opinion told me I should check it. First time I heard it I couldn't vibe with it, told one of the friends and he told me it was a concept album so I should try again listening from beginning to end, but I can't get into it. I listened cause I have nothing against Kendrick, can see that he can rap, am open minded and I know sometimes music has to grow on you.

The radio has ruined the replay value for me right now but in a few months it will be back in my rotation

You not spinnin good kid or compton or real. Thats fact.
Good kid if fire. That track is well put together and k dot murders it. He speaking on that real for him. The beat is piff, I don't see what's not to like.

And for the record I still fukks with this album hard.

Thats the thing... Even the weaker songs on there are still good songs. The only reason you skip them because you wanna hear other tracks like Money Trees or Maad City....

I'm sorry but I can't think off a classic that doesn't have a few weaker songs. Its songs I skip on The Chronic and Makaveli

Section.80 was better and the album is OKAY...surprisingly the Dr. Dre featured tracks are the ones I enjoy and replay the most.:yeshrug:

still listen to it, not every week but still listening to it, album has everything to be a classic: it's adored by a lot of hip hop fans, it's acclaiemd, it influenced a lot of artists and objectively, it's a fanstastic album, Maybe not everyone's taste, but that doesn't take away from its quality.

I can't think of a better album released these last 5 years and I'm not even a fan.

I don't play it all the time but when I'm in the mood it's hands down the best modern Hip Hop album since Below the Heavens.
