I don't, but my wife does and our combined income is nice :manny:

And neither of us work more than 40 hours per week, or any weekends :manny:

And I'm home jerking off by 3:30 every day :manny:

And we live in a fairly low cost of living area :manny:

But she also has a severe spending problem that has prevented us thus far from becoming financially comfortable:sadbron:....been getting better at managing the money recently though so I hope the trend continues

It aint what you make, its how you spend it. One of my coworkers husband makes almost 200k and they still live paycheck to paycheck. Having peace financially >>>> buying a lot of shyt

This is so true it deserves it's own thread. So many people don't understand this.

When people get raises at work, what happens? They usually just spend more money, thus leaving them in basically the same situation as before.

Financial education >>> a 6 figure salary

:russ: at 30% of a hip hop sports website making over 100k

It says 30 people not 30%, and you do know there are older people on here that have careers, businesses and degrees right?

Also what does a hip hop forum have to do with it? If you want to make a crazy comparison like that, what percentage of blacks to whites purchase hip hop albums?? sales surely arent coming from blacks...coming from middle/upperclass youth with higher disposable income, yeah whites do like hip hop and are on this forum too, not putting down black people but you act like this is just a forum for dudes on the block

Its pretty funny to see people say

"You can't be doing (x), because you're here with me"

Crabs in a barrel :wow:

been saying this "crabs in a barrel" theory since I came on this forum:stopitslime: I remember in the car forum they put post pics of your car and someone tried to exposed me saying :duck: and there are some liars on the thread and called me out specifically..until I took a pic with his name saying c'mon ****** he couldnt say anything else..

Point of the story is people are always negative and dont have belief in themselves...so how do you expect them to have belief in others???:manny:

He's not lying. Depending on the industry you are in it's possible to do in your 20's.

:laff: I know sales reps that make 150k base pay .....and then get uncapped commission. :whoo:

When I posted that there were around 100 votes. So yeah, 30%. The hip-hop forum aspect of it is relevant because of the age part of the demographic, not race. Younger people make less money than older people. Hip hop fans are a very young demographic.

What are they selling? I just ask because that's a very high base salary for sales.

teach me how to trade
vGTO6.png

to be frank, i'm not very good at it myself. when i was doing very well here i was trading (more like structuring and originating) a very specialized derivative product. since the credit markets froze up in 2007 that specific product is not very liquid or active any more. that particular business was very flow based/relationship based so i was never much of a prop trader in the sense that most people attach to the job. i wasn't gambling as much as i was providing liquidity and yield enhancement. i don't even touch my own money, i trust my broker more than i trust myself.

are you looking to get into finance? you still in school?

They work for Apple, Coke, Google, Pepsi, P & G, American Express, etc. Mostly in a combination of headquarter marketing/sales positions. Calling on national or international accounts.

Plus that expense account and company car. It's like using a life cheat code.

:dwillhuh:

Imagine never having to pay for flights or hotels stays on your personal vacation time because you've racked up so many hotel points and airline miles.

:whew:
