i was one of the more well known man virgins from the old boards. officially lost it this year right after my 29th birthday. had several opportunities over the years with some decent looking women but never really felt comfortable enough to go through with it due to anxiety and confidence issues (being an awkward, average looking dude didn't help)

I was a late bloomer too. Didn't even get my first kiss until 18. You wouldn't know it talking with me now, but I was awkward/shy all through high school, and even my first two years of college. I would also put too much pressure on myself in social situations instead of just having a good time.

Thinking about all the opportunities with females I missed out on kinda sucks but at least I can make up for it now.

I'm with reincar in terms of celibacy. I've been born again since the 1st day of 2011... I had prayed super hard the night before as I never did because I always believed but didn't have Jesus in my heart. A whole lot more happened after that but Holy Spirit came by like a wind & filled me inside the next day... literally, it's like a light has been turned on inside you & it's always there (your ticket into heaven). It happens to many when they're 1st baptized. Its the best thing that's ever happened to me, & will ever happen to me.

When you have Holy Spirit from God he will convict you from sin, lead & direct your life, choices, etc (does countless of positives) all toward the path of God. It's like a tug on your heart telling you 'stop' in regards to sin. The tug doesn't hurt. This is how you can live by the Holy Spirit. I'm trying to live by the Holy Spirit. Sex before marriage is a sin as stated in various ways throughout the Bible. Last time I tried having it a couple months after my deliverance (this was Feb 2011) the light within me (Holy Spirit) went so down so much that I had to repent, & knew God wanted me to wait until marriage. Unfortunately with many born again Christians, they get relaxed throughout the years & somewhat 'quench' the Holy Ghost, going off and doing their own thing (having sex, delving into old sins). I don't ever want to backslide like that. There's so many reasons to wait, a few listed in this thread but there's a whole lot more than you think. Eventually, I should leave this website as it doesn't help, I kind of wish it wasn't created after the sohh fall-off.. but that's another story & would be hard for folk to understand.

However, this is why many wait & are for 'religious' reasons... but the fact is their not abstaining for religious reasons, they're abstaining for straight up The Lord God. I Haven't visited those streaming porn sites in the longest either other than a couple of juke videos here & there... (shouldn't be doing that at all either).

I'm sure this post will get with people bolding sentences they especially disliked & reply with a witty & blasphemous comment but hopefully I made some kind sense here. Once you receive Holy Spirit you'll immediately realize God is real, Jesus is real, The Bible is real + all true, & Heaven is real. Holy Spirit is his seal on you that you're his...
