Everyday, there is nothing I can really do about it. I bombed my apartment, spray, clean up after myself, etc. When you live in the projects in NYC, you can't really escape them. They can come from underneath the front doors from the neighbors or little holes/tiny cracks in the wall. All you can really do is minimize the number of appearances

Ortho Home Defense Max , Boric Acid Powder, raid roach spray and raid dry fogger(bug bomb).
get a caulk gun and seal up every crevice/hole you find.
seal around piping's in the kitchen and bathroom.
buy gorilla tape and place it along the wall and front door where the hinges are, so that you capture anything crawling between that space.
if you don't want to keep boric acid behind your front door then you can use large flat(edges must be flat too) mouse traps instead. you can use boric acid in the front for the hallway.
this should cost you less than $80
don't just spray and bug bomb them when you see them, do it quarterly or even bi-monthly if you feel it's necessary.
p.s keep your place dry and if you don't have window screens, get them.
edit:
a door draft stopper could work as well.

Man at my old house we saw a mouse and all hell broke loose. I was killing 1 almost every day, moved the fk out of there with the quickness. House went up for sale moved as soon as that bytch was sold. Now if I see a RAT! o hell no I am not coming back. Selling the house as is they can have whatever in that MF.
