I was thinking about this earlier. The show is legendary, and has classic episodes and scenes no doubt. But the show became so :flabbynsick: after james died, and that was only after 3 seasons. When they bring in carl the athiest, and thelmas husband the show is :gag: status, too bad to even watch.

Here just 5 blacc sitcoms i would rank above it.

Im not a big fan of the cosby show or the jeffersons :yeshrug:

There were some classic shows after James died. One being the Janet Jackson (Penny) getting burned. Another was when J.J. start hustlin and didn't know he with some nggas who was selling White. Another was when Michael was forced to join a gang and was banging with Ratbone or whatever his name was. I could drop more but bottom line, people saying it was wack after James died are exaggerating.

And who can forget the little deaf kid who was about to fall down elevator shaft. She went ham on Florida. I thought she was gonna blow her mouth out. Ebay or however you spell that African ngguh name. Classic episodes.

Martin, no way. That last season was unwatchable. I think I liked only 2 shows from that last season. Wayans bros. the 1st season was below average.

I dont think the last season of Martin was as bad as the 5th season of Good Times :gag:

The wayans bros first season was still pretty funny.

First 4 seasons wuz undeniable though...too many classic moments....and nikka good times is top 5 off thelma and thelma alone....it fell off fast without james,how u go from a real nikka like james to carl...and umoved on awful fast didn't u:what:...u wuz lookin for dikk next season Florida...remember that sohh thread where nikkas said james ran away from home and didn't really die:laff:?

The Wedding series was classic. How Penny mother set up Willona with that fake boyfriend was classic. Sweet Daddy Blood transfusion ep. was good. As I mention before the little deaf kid ep. was classic. And even though I hated Keith, that episode where they found out he was a drunk was good. THe look on Michael face was classic. And Thelma slapping Keith was :krs: Loved that art contest episdoe when Bookman forget the wrong painting and that greedy nikka was eating on some sweet potato pie. First season of Wayans ain't touching this at all. :wtb: Goup there it is :wtb:

It's not a favorite for me but as far as overall black sitcoms it is one of the most popular of all time. I can't ignore that.
