It's more than just that. Why would you want Kaepernick in a situation he can't succeed at and on top of it would be blamed for the result of a team that ain't shyt anyway because Jets fans feel a type of a way about a non white QB?
Put it this way: say the Jets signed him instead of McCown. What would you expect from the team?
