Something i've mastered throughout my working adult life until 2 years ago. :snoop: 3 pages of fukkery.

I got my swagger back though:whew: got that bytch back down to one page.

I stretched the margins as much as I could without making it look fukked up and just got straight to the point with my skills.

Cover letter is 3 sentences with explains the condensed wizardry. :myman:

Time to leave this shyt hole of a job. :pacspit::pacspit:

Aren't you 30+? :what:

I was doing this when I was 22

yeah and its hard to keep your resume to one page when you're over decade deep in the game. I keep my resume's specific to whatever i'm applying for. Luckily i've stayed at jobs for a long time so I don't have a lot of jobs to put down. But I fukked up and tried to get a government job and made a 3 page resume. Didn't feel like making a new one so I kept it. Aint nobody trying to read 3 pages.

As someone that hires people and goes thru resumes that shyt better be less than one page unless you're a Ph. D level astrophysicist or some shyt.

Just take off any irrelevant experience and condense it to your last few jobs.

The whole one page resume is bullshyt
Just don't use a generic resume for all jobs

When you go through hundreds of resumes a day...you're not going to entertain a resume drawn out over several pages...just because an individual worked multiple jobs doesn't mean their resume needs to list every Last one of them...

No single recruiter or hiring person is going through hundreds of resume a day. Stop believing everything you hear. Of the applicant has a good first then the second or third page will get a look.

Lol you thinking recruiter's just throw out resumes because they are too long.

With that said most people should not have resumes longer than 1 page.

Maybe hundreds daily is a bit excessive...but depending where you work you can see a large amount...

People throw out resumes for their own person reasoning...some don't like names of the applicant...some don't like cover letters...some don't like poor grammar etc...but we agree keep it down to 1 page...

nah nah... if you can't be direct and to the point in one page then something is wrong. I keep a generic resume and just do a customer cover letter. my resume is laced with key skills that the type of jobs i'm trying to get are looking for. my only flaws are that i'm overqualified and still going to school.

I've seen resume's that are one page and consist of a whole lot of nothing. My resume is a page with work history going back to 1996. got all relevant skills listed and each job with a brief description. When I used to look at resume's I wasn't trying to go past the first page.

You are only shortening your self to potential employers if Your forcing your resume on one page. You are not a college kid looking for their first job. There's nothing wrong with a resume longer than a page.

The whole one page resume is a myth at this point

Nothing wrong with a 2 page resume. If you have enough work experience its okay. Don't try to cram stuff everything on page or use small font just to get it to one page. You need to have enough to sell yourself aka(keywords) but even just lightly touching on my past software projects crept it to the 2 page mark my self.

I'm only 26 and my resume is like 1.75 pages. Im in the I.T. field ...LOLOL No :duck: here though. I'm talking 100%

The First page is the cover letter. the 2nd page is the resume. Gotta save some shyt for the interview. I use to have crazy details and wanted to list every little thing. fukk all that. I use the resume to simply show I have steady employment, "summarize" skills and job responsibilities. The cover letter is more personal and direct.

I have a resume with everything on it, and it's about 3 pages. However, I just chop off whatever I deem necessary to tailor to the specific job I'm applying for. I save that one as a separate resume. I always keep that master copy with all my job experience, school, etc. on it though.
