I agree with this 100%

The labor has 100% of the power in this case. They can absolutely bring havoc, seize the power and control the conversation.

The NBA would be brought to its knees and if they tried to sue, the NBA would have a fantastic time trying to explain why it allowed openly discriminatory policies while receiving public funds and public protection
:ohlawd: Richard Sherman needs to reach out to cliff paul....

This isnt really a new story about Sterling. A lot of minorities work for owners across all divisions of labor that harbor racist feelings. Just like the Barney's racial profiling situation this isnt limited to one business, nor is it the burden of one person or small group of people to resolve it. Clippers players need to play and take advantage of the big stage of the NBA Playoffs to bring awareness to just how despicable Sterling's views are. They can protest on the court and at their press conference. Best case scenario would be to thrive in the playoffs and hoist the trophy at the end like the '68 Olympics. It'd be nice if the players protested, but the pressure to do something about this needs to be on the NBA and it's sponsors.

Them not playing would effect the careers of more than just Donald Sterling. And honestly, it wouldn't hurt him at all. He's already rich. He's gonna be richer after he sells the team. Unless your argument is that the entire institution of the NBA is racist, why would you protest it in a way that hurts everyone? Its the NBA's job to force Sterling out as an owner.

Be tactical not emotional.

You're right in that this is common amongst super rich yts. You're also right in that the team will probably use the chase for a title as an out for playing through this and honestly as dispicable as scumling is you can't really blame the players for feeling that way cuz they worked hard just for that to happen. I'll say this, either way the clippers might be done from this cuz it's no way that all these cats want to even play for this guy now anyway.

Best case scenario isn't a championship either, at the end of the season they've got to begin a mass exodus out of the organization and enter the free agent market somehow. Teams will pay that money for the talented players the clips got. scumlings whole investment being destroyed like that would be good, plus it would give the franchise a stigma it couldn' escape until scumling sells or dies off.
