Keep forgetting QTip had a hand (pun intended) in the Infamous production

Let me pick an unfamiliar Mobb track, then

Shook Ones aside...This might be my favourite Havoc beat. It's just so simple yet so menacing and dope.

Runner ups:

That bytch nikka Prodigy did the world a disservice by not hopping on that Biggie shyt :wow:

Mobb Deep - Crawlin' - YouTube

Classic. I loved infamy when it came out.
There I Go Again stayed on repeat too.
My Gats Spittin, Crawlin, Clap,Getaway, Get at me, Nothing like home.

Man could yall imagine if Prodigy was still dope...woulda been a great album

His production is mad underrated. Nobody ever brings up his name

for good reason...he was hot in the mid to late 90s, and there was mad hype surrounding him, but he fell off serious after that and now hes not mentioned. Sort of like Prodigy. Mobb Deep is still my favorite duo tho.

I disagree. He still makes good beats, he just doesnt get the right placements.

His last commercial song was Why? and that was a top 40 hit. His song on Eminiem's Recovery was nice too. He can make the music, but can he get the placements? The old dark sound just isnt poppin anymore. G-Unit, D-Block and that hard rap isnt popular.

Right now its all about that Rick Ross, Kanye West, flossing type of music. Justice League, Mike Will, Swizz Beats, Kanye etc. Besides that it's trap music and it's been like that since like Gucci's surge in 2007. None of the popular rappers right now are the type that would want Hav for a beat.

He hasnt fallen off to me:

Havoc should of had an alchemist type career...and alc still stays true to his style, while also remaining relevant and has been for well over a decade. Havoc has been a real mixed bag at best, since he abandoned his hard edged east coast style from the 90s.

true. Havoc's allegiance with P and G-Unit probably fukked him up in that sense.

50 Cent has too many enemies so when you become a part of G-Unit you pretty much shelter yourself and its hard to break out of that. Alchemist has always worked with a diverse range of artists though. He'll always be relevant. Nobody in New York is poppin either except ASAP Rocky.

to each is own, but i disagree with hav fallen of production wise. to me he more liked evolved, from his early days. the 1st disc off that free agents mixtape :whew: personally i've felt that was some of havs best work and showed he's not some outdated producer who can't keep up with times. his beats has always been a ny sound and artist today aint looking for that.

hav was droppin some under the radar heat from 00s

First of all, FREE AGENTS WAS RAW! Hot damn, that was a hot double disc. Yep, Hav had some slaps on there, but overall I just havent been feelin him since the 90s outside of a beat or two, and I dont think Im alone on that. The kush was ass. A great producer doesnt make a horrible record like that.

P is the one who ruined Infamy an Amerikaz Nightmare with his :trash: raps, while Havoc kept the Mobb sound fresh and alive.

I didn't bother with Blood Money :pacspit:

I disagree, Havoc had numerous joints after the 90s, just not as much.
