In the couple years I was in Kenya there were droughts, Floods. and a locust invasion.
Africa is more interesting and if you can figure it out you can come up crazy in Africa.
That being said rule of law and the evironmental laws are way stronger in Latin America.
You could say that you have to deal with guerillas in Colombia but you have to deal with bandits in Kenya and cattle rustlers are low key worst in Kenya truth being told.

The farm in Cali is good business land is super developed, strong farm support even a small holder like her can get subsidies like Pippen.
But California would be a desert without that declining water from up north and the Colorado River.
Colombia most of the good land is in guerilla controlled areas.
Getting a farm in baringo county is challenging but land on the outskirts of Nairobi is a good deal as is land in Navisha.
