That aint an excuse. The whole country doesn't have to participate, maybe just the states that are being affected like Michigan and Nebraska.
As long as Americans keep up with that "pull yourself by the bootstrap" mentality , these companies are going to keep taking advantage of them.

Michigan has double that population by itself

i thought the phrase went "power to the people" :mindblown:
since when is having a higher population a weakness? but like one poster said , americans dont practice solidarity.
It's every man for themselves.

people in michigan should support those in strike, instead of these corporations.

What I really don't understand is what's the end goal to all this damn greed. Like I know I know, they wanna make profits but God damn it's almost like these companies want to burn their workforce and main consumers out till they die and there's nobody else left to consume. Like I don't understand this kind of greed at all.

Public companies have to increase profits quarter over quarter to keep shareholders happy.

Do you own stock?

If so what's more important to you, the workers pay and benefits at the companies whose stock you hold or them increasing their profits, and therefore your stock value?

I own stock yes but I'd rather see them improve pay and benefits cause that should inherently mean this company I'm invested in is doing better overall as a whole to the point they can properly reinvest themselves, I don't want to invest in a company treating its own workers like shyt , or like at the very least they need to have a good culture the average Joe can push themselves and succeed in. Going after unrealistic goals just seems reckless as shyt to me.

LOL. Cot damn America is just barreling downhill. This mentality is so pathetic how it always has to be one or the other.

As if there's no other way to generate profits other than treating employees like shyt. How about actual growth or finding more efficient ways to develop products. Raising your prices. shyt threes endless ways

fukk Kellogg! They don't wanna take care of their employees, then they need to fold! As a matter of fact, I won't buy any of their products until they do right by their union employees...

As for the scabs...

As many places that are hiring, they can work somewhere else...

I hope no person will cross ANY picket line!

Let's be real, ain't shyt gone happen. Most folks ain't gone care and Kellog will continue to make profit. :francis:Feel free to quote this post if the company does fail

There is no utopia. Public companies have one goal, make money for their shareholders. Someone down the line in the chain is being taken advantage of. You can't find a public company that doesn't have workers pissed off.

Amazon
Apple
Microsoft
Tesla
Netflix
Facebook
Google

Basically any stock people have been making serious money in, it's a line 100 miles long of angry workers.

I'd bet that worker treatment is way down on the list of attributes you look at with a company you are looking to invest in. And if you in mutual funds I guarantee Vanguard don't give a damn. :russ:
