Ainge fukked up big time on this. Not only not doing whatever it took to sign Kyrie, but then signing Kemba to that dumb deal. Should have signed Rozier who's not a liability on defense and doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective.

This I’ll somewhat disagree with, it was clear Kyrie and KD were going to play together, nothing he can do about that. Rozier was being pouty and wanted to leave too.

Kyrie wasn’t coming back to the Celtics regardless

Rozier was never being brought back after that press run he went on after the season ended

If anything they should’ve just given Horford the money and let Smart run point. But he might have still picked Philly anyway

Ainge shouldn't have signed a 5'11" PG who don't play defense to a huge contract if he was trying to build a championship team unless he's generational offensive player.

I get that. But Ainge shouldn't have felt the need to sign another max player. He had two young wing players who he thought were future All-Stars (he was right) and another All Star level player in Hayward. Should have signed a pass first PG who played defense and got a big who can shoot/defend the rim. Plus all those draft picks he had. Ainge fukked up.
