"They passed on Kawhi :damn:"

man everyone passed on Kawhi. this dude was getting compared to Thaddeous Young and shyt
He was better than biz. Mostly a known commodity on the court but people questioned his personality and the people around him.

But you're right on the thaddeus comparisons, but thaddeus also never evolved and was a bust.

Evan Williams..

he was my #2 for sure after monk

still not giving up on malik tho. not like cliff woulda even played mitchell
Yea, when people here act like they were on the Mitchell over monk train I just give him the side eye.

But monk barely got minutes. I'm hoping he gets run and we can see what he can do this year.

Part of the reason Kawhi’s stock dropped that draft because he was nervous af during interviews. Breh was nervous and sweating through his clothes, along with most people thinking he’s a few words short of being a mute. And Biyombo looked great at the Nike Hoop Summit. Had me gassed up when he got drafted

But with a front office conducting its first draft in Phoenix, then-General Manager Lance Blanks’ staff did not have Leonard in the discussion. Part of the Suns’ knock on Leonard, beyond his perimeter shot, was how nervously he acted in a draft combine interview, when he sweated through his suit.

The Suns chose among Markieff and Marcus Morris and Iman Shumpert. There was more pre-draft talk about reconsidering Jimmer Fredette than Leonard.

But it does annoy me, the Bobcats/Hornets were drafting in the same range as the Warriors earlier in this decade. Warriors hit on their picks (even Harrison Barnes played an important role in their rise to dominance), while over here :francis:
I think we’re just cursed :to:

Nah, Jordan is just a terrible talent evaluator. Nothing to do with curses.

He

He also took mkg over beal, lillard
And drummond.

We wasted the #2 pick on a nikka that cant shoot
Passed on Beal because the thought was Gerald Henderson would make that leap :snoop:
Lillard's one of the few lotto players I literally never heard of before a draft. Last time I knew a player from Weber State, Harold "The Show" Arceneaux gave UNC that work in the NCAA Tournament :russ:
When Portland took him I was like, "Who the hell did the Blazers just pick?" :dahell: Plus, we already had Kemba :manny:

I did want them to take Drummond, I thought he'd be the next Dwight

MKG was balling until his arm got ripped off twice in less than a year :yeshrug: Dude was bringing a Kawhi level impact on defense while Beal was still crying in the car.

Dude could quit tomorrow and no one would blame him.

drummond was the softest motherfukker in the nation coming into the draft :mjlol:
