There’s levels to this you goon.Hit 630 home runs and have people think your power was underrated, brehs. :smhkobe:
I didn’t say HE was underrated. He was a superstar ten times over in his prime
He was far from underrated. I was more shocked at his falloff soon as he left Seattle.![]()
There’s levels to this you goon.
As prolific as Griffey was, nobody puts him in the same power category as a Stanton or McGwire or even Dunn.

Hit 630 home runs and have people think your power was underrated, brehs. :smhkobe:
Who is underrating the raw power of a guy who (cleanly) hit it out of the park 630 times?I didn’t say HE was underrated.
I said his (raw) power was underrated.

Do I have to explain the difference between hitting 370 foot homers and 470 foot homers?Who is underrating the raw power of a guy who (cleanly) hit it out of the park 630 times?![]()
Dunn wasn’t even in the same area code as a player as Griffey.Dunn
To me Mariners griffey is in that same rarified air as Cardinals Pujols and Mariners Arod. Amazingly patient hitters that can pull the ball either way and hit for contact and power.
He wasn’t Barry Bonds strong though.
Actual baseball fans know he hit tape measure blasts though.Do I have to explain the difference between hitting 370 foot homers and 470 foot homers?
Or is it obvious?

Hey look, if you wanna argue that Griffey was widely and primarily known for hitting 500 foot bombs like McGwire, then so be it.Actual baseball fans know he hit tape measure blasts though.![]()
