Him being "in the zone" seemed way too contrived and fake to me.

He was one of the guys who was probably better as a face, like when he was the ref for Hart-Austin. As a heel, he was just too over the top.

He never should have left pro wrestling, though. His future there was lot brighter than it was in MMA.

Agreed. Shamrock wasn't a convincing heel and was best as a face with impulsive, heel like tendencies.

With that said, dude was one of my favorite wrestlers while growing up. Wish he would come back

great thread Ive always been a huge fan of his in wrestling and mma
One of my fav wrestling moments growing up was shamrock vs the rock king of the ring 1998 I was so hyped during that match and when shamrock won I was jumping all around
Hope he gets in the hall of fame one day
