When I was in college I worked with a guy who trained with Shamrock and I even met Shamrock once. Shamrock was a roided out, bully, a$$hole to the fullest 
The kind of guy who if someone was like, "Hey, isn't that Ken Shamrock over there?" and stared too long, Shamrock would threaten their damn life right then and there. He wasn't straight in the head at all.

if it didn't matter he never would've taken the roids, true bas didn't no any submissions back then
