For real. They put themselves through hell before MMA blew up, so they didnt get much money wise even being pioneers. MMA is the only sport where the legends are treated like trash pretty much, and theres no 401k. Last I heard, Ken was living out of an RV or some shyt. I actually met Don Frye earlier this year. I did a seminar with Bas Rutten and Duane Ludwig. Frye looked good but I know he had some CRAZY shyt going on. Financial issues, a divorce. He attempted a suicide by cop until the cops talked him down. Dude is a legend. I love the sport and hope these dudes can land on their feet but IDK.
I know Fryes been struggling with alcoholism for the longest. Its a damn shame that the legends are going through this shyt. Its like the game treats em as if they never existed, and only those who were prime around in the early mid 00s matter.
