Kendrick and J Cole are examples of production making one seem like they're on the others level, when it aint close

You're still stalling :francis:
I'm mature enough to know it's not just about bars. You are not. I haven't asked you any J. Cole bars because there is no point in that. For example 2Pac has waaaaay more quoteables than Krayzie Bone, but 2Pac was no where NEAR the rapper that Krayzie Bone is.

I like kendrick but he's regressed as a lyricist whereas Jcole funny enough has improved his lyricism. Kendrick still got the flow but his story telling and painting the picture is lazy and forgettable.

Can't think of a recent kendrick verse where he went as hard as this.

:wow:

Kendrick is coasting and going for topics that will get praise because of how open he’s been about his personal issues/flaws. That level of artistry is commendable but it’s not the secret ingredient to making slaps or Hip Hop that most will agree is dope on the first listen. I felt like Kendrick’s last album was a therapy session I didn’t ask to be invited to. There’s no denying GKMC to TPAB to DAMN is elite level though.

I really don’t like either so I have no bias. Kdot can rap fr like just because you shyt I’m not even going to act like I know wtf he be talking about but I know it’s some crazy off the wall intricate shyt compared to j coles wordplay which is almost like child’s play. His bars are getting better but there’s still a huge gap within their lyrical skill. I’ll end it at this in confident Kendrick can do coles best song but j cole couldn’t do a holy key verse.
