Ross, Weezy, Drizzy, Yeezy, Hov in no partcular order, just wanted to state that fact...and as far as where i'm from Meek too.

You see I'm seeing a lot of talk about the culture and that's good, but i see many of yall Kendrick stans are doing the EXACT same thing the grammy committee is doing, you are ignoring the base of the culture & placing something on a pedestal simply because YOU prefer it. Be clear on this, if the Grammy committee were the people of the South Bronx Kendrick ain't winning shyt either. Kendrick Lamar music does not bang on blocks, Kendrick Lamar does not influence the culture, Jay-z, 50 cent, Weezy, Tupac etc these were the past Kings of Hiphop, 'King Kendrick' is a false accolade just as 'The Heist - Rap album of the year' is a false accolade.

So while you comfortable suburbanites are (rightly) complaining about the white washing of the culture have a think about your hypocritical attempts at class cleansing the culture.

I see where youre coming from and all, but brothas don't all listen to the exact same thing.

So saying Kendrick lamar is not one of the top rappers in the black community is pointless. I mean did you got out and pass out surveys asking dudes who they listen to everyday?

It's anecdotal obviously.

Wiz khalifa, Kendrick, j.cole and drake are more popular than jay, yeezy, weezy and rozay amongst my younger cousins. Doesn't really mean shyt, it's just anecdotal

Funny how people claim that Fif, Ross, etc. are for the people, but the rap about European brands and exploit the hood for the own gain. But a Kendrick or a Nas is "lame" because they talk about "swagless" topics.

It is what it is breh...

We can make a thread titled "Vegetables and water doesn't crack top 5 in the Black community" or "Reading and writing isn't a top 5 activity in the Black community"

And all though its true.. Its nothing that we should be proud of...
