It is what it is breh...

We can make a thread titled "Vegetables and water doesn't crack top 5 in the Black community" or "Reading and writing isn't a top 5 activity in the Black community"

And all though its true.. Its nothing that we should be proud of...
But Lupe mentioned it in the best verse of 2013...

"sugar coated colored edibles instead of buildin up a habit in them vegetables, now early 30's my blood pressures incredible..." :wow:

and plus he is obviously the best writer in hip hop history, you have to compare him to writers to make it fair...

goddamn Lu :blessed:

Funny how people claim that Fif, Ross, etc. are for the people, but the rap about European brands and exploit the hood for the own gain. But a Kendrick or a Nas is "lame" because they talk about "swagless" topics.
Nobody has said that here:camby:with your diversion tactics. You're one of the people I'm talking about, constant with your attempt at class clensing this urban culture is no different than a cac trying to white wash this black culture. I get it, YOU like a certain type of rap that is more relateable to YOU, leave it at that.

Nah, I think you were the one that was brainwashed from the start. :mjpls:

Those rappers exploited the hood and made urban society parody status. There are all kinds of different black people in the hood, so why only the hustler and the thug get all the attention and respect? What about the other "lame people" that never have a voice or the ones that had people shut them down? Where is their champion?

Are you saying that if left up to black people Kendrick wouldn't win any awards either if he was competing against Chief Keef or Jeezy? and people get riled up cause Kendrick is what suburbanites think is real hip-hop or whatever but won't stand up for the other guys that are supposed to be most relevant to there community. Like the way certain white people are trying to white wash rap music, certain squares are trying and have been trying to suburb up rap music? So Kendrick fans getting mad at the grammys is stupid cause they turn around and do the same shyt to people that like "lesser" forms of rap music.

There is nothing wrong with @Wild self wanting more music he relates too. One thing I dont like that he is always trying to do is, he always tries to project that street rap is somehow less intelligent, damaging or even radically different than suburban rap. Cole rap about fukking bytches and designer shyt too.

He stay trying to use Nas. When Nas aint no damn suburban rapper. nikka is a fukking street rapper. Even to his last album, he out there rapping bout expensive cars, guns, jewelry, cigars, drug lords in Queens from the 80s, how he used to hustle and is even in videos with them. :why:
