Kendrick just isn't as smart as yall want him to be and he sucks at making emotional appeals with his music. Its very easy to listen to a Kendrick album and feel nothing. Very talented technically and he definitely attempts the experimental/conceptual though he could be helped by "less is more."

Just finished the album. It's got its good spots and boring ass fukk spots.
This album is alright but not fukkin with TPAB at all. The songs that is good they sound like TPAB leftovers.

If say lust and love are where it kinda hits a speedbump. It's not a wack speedbump but its just the lowest point of the album

And who are you to say this album doesn't emotionally appeal or successfully communicate to anybody else? There's no clear overall message to this album but a lot of the subject matters are straightforward to begin with, and plus you act like Kendrick is abstract on abstract when the concepts on GKMC and TPAB were literally spelled out and self-evident. Wtf is this arrogance in thinking your opinion is concrete fact I swear the internet gives people way too much clout. Don't get a big head cuz you got 150k daps on a message board What you think is not worth that much so stop trying to force your views on everybody else

Minus a track here and there I feel the The Cool is head shoulders above
all of Lupe's work with Food & Liquor being the exception.
I actually bought a physical copy of those two albums, my opinion
of him may have soured but those albums helped to really foster
my appreciation for lyrics and song writing.

Lupe better than Kendrick wordplay and story telling. But I do like how he stays telling a story. I wanna know what happen to sharane. I wanna hear him finish section 80 like he never finished the make up song
