the deeper I dig into jazz and funk, the more I like tpab...but the deeper you dig into rap, the less I'm impressed with gkmc

gkmc is great, but kendrick is a far better artist than rapper tbh
Indeed. I don't consider Kendrick to be a rapper. He's a writer to me.

Tpab > gkmc > s80

my personal favorites: Tpab = s80 > gkmc
Definitely. S80 had the potential to be as good as tpab, but the syncopation is all over the place. Those who made most of the studio decisions regarding the music were cheap producers/musicians

TPAB probably has the lowest replay value of any Kendrick project. Most of it can't be played separately. Unlike section 80 which had a lot of bangers and greater highs.
