First listen i listened to the music thought it was light compared to previous albumsDidnt you say this shyt Light
2nd listen i listened intently to words, cadences, metaphors etc, liked what I heard.
Knowing what the songs are about now I listened a 3rd time and enjoyed it minus the love song and now I'm in a good space enjoying the album minus the love song.
Can't wait for nation so I can widdle the album down Into a straight epic playlist.

Name a Lupe song that ever captured raw emotion this articulately.
Would you argue that Lupe can write a more emotionally convincing song than Ghostface Killah? This shouldn't be that hard to understand tbr. nikkas like Ghostface, Kevin Gates, etc. got more passion and emotional fire in their delivery than someone like Lupe period.

Love Jay, and he's my favorite artist. But I don't think that he has a TPAB in his catalogue.

I like it on first listen. I need to sit with it. Kendrick's writing style always takes me a second because...I don't even know how to describe it...it's like he doesn't rap in complete sentences and leaves shyt for you to fill in and not in a storyteller's way...it's like he just doesn't complete the sentence or says something simple in a convuluted way so I wonder if I'm overthinking it. It makes it less fun to listen to at times. I'll sit back on it though.
