Not feeling GOD and LOVE. Everything else is dope

Yeah, GOD, LOVE, and LOYALTY are my least favorite tracks. Someone told me GOD might be a subliminal shot at some other rappers? I dunno. I like everything else on the album. I'd like GOD more if it didn't go between FEAR and DUCKWORTH. It seems out of place. HUMBLE is cool but I've been skipping it.

After the weekend to listen to it, DUCKWORTH, FEAR, FEEL, LUST, XXX, ELEMENT, YAH, PRIDE, and DNA are definitely my favorite joints.

I hope Kendrick realizes how many people like the simplicity of the production on DUCKWORTH and FEAR and that he goes with a few more simple dishes on the next album. The extravagant dishes are cool too, but simple shyt is great also.

tried to read from where i was last on here but this thread is another reminder why i never read album threads when it comes to certain artists.
giving me a headache and i'm already feeling delicate enough from last night.

Lust is one of Kendricks corniest songs..doesnt quite reach Cole levels of bad, but what a waste.

feelings not wavered on the album after more listens. good album.
8 good to great songs...rest can be tossed

edit- oh and give credit to Young Thug for having a clear influence on Ye, Drake and now Kendricks albums.

The biggest knock I have is him sharking Andre 3000 on it. But the song itself is dope

I still need some time but I feel comfortable in saying this isn't his best work but it's still good. I do think LOVE. is one of his best tracks. He steps out his comfort zone and glides on incredible production. All and all Kendrick is 3/3 or 4/4 if we counting section 80

yep. this the song that on the list of ones i didn't care for I've went back to the most to see if i've came around to it any but nah.
this (and Pride) should have been good but they just didn't work for me.

corny might not have been the right turn of phrase because it didn't get J Cole Wet Dreams bad but

This album is supposed to be listened backwards. It tells another story When played backwards, it is the story as if ducky (kdot's dad)was killed. Played front to back, Kendricks' weaknesses are shown. Back to front, Kendricks' wickedness is prominent. This ties in to the duality/reverse theming in the album. When played backwards, his wickedness ends in BLOOD as he tries to be kind and dies to the lady of justice who can't see through his materialistic self.

"Is it wicknedness, or is it weakness? You decide...."

Wickedness = Damn played back to front
Weakness = Damn played front to back

Only song I skip is Loyalty. It's not bad but I just can do without it. Also sounds like some shyt the radio will play nonstop and I'll eventually hate.

Great album. Far exceeded my expectations (especially production wise) since I was iffy on Kendrick after the last album (which was good, but never went back to it much). Thank God Kendrick kept all that extra shyt to a minimum. I won't listen to Humble much, but I have not a single complaint about anything else.

@NoHalfWay @AMcV'88 i felt like he took 3k flow on lust and pride but did we get on Kanye for that on 808's
