Yall dudes are so weird and defensive when it comes to Kendrick, I don’t get it. It’s like seeing something negative about him causes yall physical pain :wtf:

It was a weak ass performance, but that’s ok…it happens, it’s not the end of the world.

The fact that Gelo performing tweaker for 15 mins would have been more entertaining…is driving yall crazy.

Nice try, Drake.

Lol at this reverse psychology bullshyt:mjlol:......you ain't fooling nobody with these elementary level manipulation tactics:dead:

You hated on everything Kendrick did this past year. You couldn't even bring yourself to give NLU props even though it was clearly genius right out the gate. You were absolutely SEETHING on may 4 2024. Stop the frontin.

Mannn that PND collab album had better move units.…i can't even imagine how embarrassing its going to get if that bytch flop :russ: Or if Kenny finally drops that GNX song on the same day...yikes

It won’t move the units. He’s doing the promo himself and it’s partynextdoor and Drake an R&B album this ain’t a solo Drake album. Plus with Kendrick lingering around especially after the bowl he should drop the album a week later. Listen all the records that Drake dropped in the summer were hit records to me but people didn’t give a fukk about them like they use to or UMG was on some sabotaging shyt.

This is what I don't like about "moments", any objectivity goes out the window. For whatever the length of time this lasts, he will have no accountability or be bound by any standards.

What I mean is, for quite a while the superbowl has been about entertainment, a party vibe. To a certain degree, music that makes you get up and move. That was/is the standard. But since Kendrick is having this "moment" he is beyond criticism, objectivity, and common sense observation. Suddenly, the standard isn't the standard anymore and we're getting breakdowns about deeper meanings and symbolism?

Why is it that his performance just can't be...bad? Mid? Not up to the previously established standards?

Ironically, by making everything he does so untouchable you're setting him up for a bigger fall.

I don't get this line of thinking, particularly offering it amongst people that claimed to enjoy it.

That's one of the faults of Monday Morning quarterbacking and "critique" mindset; it obscures the possibility that people aren't interested in "objectivity". Some people want to celebrate the thing they enjoyed and that's it.

So it looks like The audio levels were messed up on the FOX stream (but only on FOX, which explains why some people had audio sound issues, others didn't have any issue) which has happened with multiple halftimes and isn’t really Kendrick’s fault. But the show itself was great and a refreshing use of the halftime slot.

Like Drake is in an interesting spot he had the rap records in the summer and they flopped I don’t see R&B Drake doing any better. I get the pivot but even the engagement on this project ain’t as crazy how it would be before the beef.
This is crazy, I honestly didn't think this shyt would be his damaging...i mean people already know he doesn't write his records and he survived that... And his OVHOE stanbase is so cult like I couldn't have imagined this battle impacting the brand in such a detrimental way… I was sleep lol

It’s really hard for a solo rap vocalist to pull off a captivating performance on that type of stage, and going with one vocal guest was a gamble. There’s a reason it’s taken this long to have a rapper solo headline the Super Bowl.

Personally I thought it was ambitious taking into account that the set list was flowing through a broader production, stage set and storytelling theme. I would have liked to have seen more GKMC, like Money Trees or bytch Don’t Kill My Vibe, instead of the heavy GNX setlist in a vacuum. His vocals and breath control were as good as any of his other live performances, and I loved the subtle lyric tweaks.

I think it will age well
