i read somewhere (dont know where), he was working on two projects: one indie / rock influenced one, and another pure rap, lyricist album.. i guess this appeases both his creative sides, without letting down his bases

That whole 3 weeks Kendrick stans counted the days. Each day ment Drake was more afraid. Now itās all excuses for everyday Kendrick donāt drop.
In reality it donāt take 3 weeks. We see with Rick Ross, if you are an MC and you got something to say, it donāt take long at all.
Dudes taking weeks cause they posturing and positioning, which is fine, but the stans weaving all types of narratives gotta start being honest about whatās going on

He didn't just respond to a "couple of lines" he responded to multiple people dissing him and condensed it on one track, and he did it when he got off tour. You guys can try to form the narratives but he not letting yall get it off

Back then, the best and really only way to get a song in rotation was an official release.
In 2024 the best way to get a song out is to post it on your instagram.

You're forgetting that this whole thing is stemming from Kendrick being salty about a Drake and Cole collab that came out last year
People were demanding Drake to respond immediately to Like That...which was a response to First Person Shooter, knowing that Metro had a second album dropping soon in a couple weeks with more shots at Drake.
Drake played it right by waiting for the 2nd Metro album to drop, but I'll let the Kendrick stans tell it.
