It's TPAB without the sizzle

One interesting thing I noticed with Kendrick's discog - TPAB feels more like a followup to section.80 than GKMC did, while DAMN feels more like a followup to GKMC.

TPAB sounds like an evolution of Overly Dedicated and section.80 while DAMN sounds like a weirder, idiosyncratic version of GKMC. ANd then Mr. Morale sounds like if TPAB was made even more inaccessible and insular.

Flip flop between Mr Morale and TPAB. The tracks with GFK and Kodak are better than anything on TPAB, but both are albums I rarely ever revisit
