Ya'll should read the 380 page book Martin Connor wrote about TPAB. It describes its musical composition in depth and how musically technical that shyt was. Even Kendrick's rhythms and melodies are golden on this

A must read for anyone that is truly into this music shyt
:wow:

Sorry to interrupt you, but it's been confirmed Kendrick wrote what other artists brought to TPAB. And he helped the musicians and producers for their shyt.

Terrace Martin, Sounwave, Bilal, Anna and George Clinton all talked about this.

The How Much A Dollar Cost reference track even leaked last year with Kendrick's vocals singing the Ron Isley part.

Wrote lyrics performed by other vocalists, sure. Show me where he was playing or programming drums, guitars, piano, keyboards or any other instrument. Show me the tracks where he got a production credit.

You can see all the interviews from his collaborators claiming he helped with the production and music on the actual album. Unfortunately Kendrick only started adding his name to the productions credits on the following albums.

But I remember Terrace Martin posting a vid of him and kendrick both playing instruments in the studio, I'll try to find it again.

Yall nikkas really saying TPAB the greatest album ever of ANY GENRE???? :why: :why: :wtf: :snoop:
It's not my all time best, but it's still very high on the list, and I could see why someone would feel like it:

-The music, musicianship and musical composition is outstanding
-It's one of the most acclaimed albums, ever, and the most critically acclaimed album in rap alone
-It influenced the likes of Beyonce, Herbie Hancock, George Clinton, Chuck D, David Bowie, and even prince according to one of his producers
-It had a massive impact on west coast jazz resurgence.
-One of the songs is considered as the BLM anthem

It has many arguments, outside of the actual music that has been praised by musicians and artists through the years.
It wasn't just as commercially successful as DAMN, but that wasn't really radio friendly either.

Wouldn't feel out of place in a top 10 best albums ever in ANY genre and it's been considered as such way before the superbowl.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't care about what other people think lol, I don't care about acclaim and all that crap, I have my own opinion, but in this case I simply agree with the praise its getting :ehh:

Drogas Wave would be Kendrick's worst album if it was made by him.

Lupe don't got enough creativity or authenticity to make good music like that. He himself admitted it he was jealous of kendrick's artistic vision.
Is Lupe still hiding since Euphoria ?

I'm going straight off the liner notes. He got zero production or instrumental credits. I ain't saying he had no contributions to the direction or sound, come on now. But yall got to quit saying this dude Prince or Miles Davis equal as a straight up musician when he don't write or play music like that. Kendrick stanbase the only ones who would even take offense to that.

Like I said earlier whenever yall talk TPAB you don't even mention the lyrics or rap performance you just talk about how musically advanced it is. And want him to get full credit for instrumentals he ain't play, write or produce. shyt don't make sense :mjlol:

Just check the credits. TPAB got 10 credited producers, none of em Kendrick. And a huge number of songwriters even ignoring samples.

Compare that to 1999. One producer, Prince. One songwriter, Prince. One lead vocalist, Prince. Additional guitar on two tracks and drums on one track, other than that he played everything. Yall need to stop trying to force this.
