people here don't worship pitchfork like they do other places

there is no logical progression of thought from "Kendrick got a 9.5" to "nas is irrellevant"

with nas's album sales, well received album (critically and in places like here/other music websites) it's quite clear that yes, hes still relevant.

there is no correlation between Kendrick's pitchfork score and Nas relevancy; therefore you are a troll and you should take it elsewhere

P4K doesn't review that many rap albums. When they do it is special.

It makes the artist that much more relevant because they are being shown recognition from a major website like P4K which determines relevancy, buzz, and hype.

So when they reviewed Nas, it made Nas slightly relevant. Now that K.Dot has bettered Nas's score and is one of the few rap albums to be reviewed by P4K in general, it thus makes Nas irrelevant in the general internet/blogosphere.

Hate it or love it, Pitchfork is pretty influential and they actually review most relevant rap albums. They used to be anti-Nas but they came around for his most recent album (I think one of their reviewers had some petty complaint with Stillmatic). So both Nas and Kendrick are relevant
