It's Weeknd. Constantly puts out fire, good production crew, direction, etc.

Oh, and The Weeknd. If he puts out another classic then maybe he got it for this era but idk if you can call what he does RnB. I think it is though.. Like a new extension of it.

Can't deny his shyt either. He had classics before he blew up and once white Americans and other majorities all over the world discovered him it was a wrap, popularity wise.

Name another young RnB artist more popular and critically acclaimed

Honestly, that Drake hate and denial is something serious.

But now this dude even got his biggest hater on his dikk and smitten (Charlamagne)

And until Jeremih or Trey make another hit, Drake got RnB too... Even though i think Tiller put out a classic and Lanez making noise

This his season. I personally prefer J.cole to all of the newer nikkas, and I like Cyhi and a bunch of unknowns more... But this Drakes era. Dudes popularity and hit making ability is unmatched whether you care to believe it or not.
I think Jeremih is washed lol, his last album was nice but it flopped. He can't have a hit without a feature. Realistically, the only hope for R&B right now is Chris, Trey, August, Weeknd, Bryson, and maybe Frank Ocean. Beyonce got the crown though but people won't admit it because it's cool to hate on her, just like Drake

I think we talking about males...

And no straight makes listening to Beyoncé.. Her songs aren't on my radar.

In fact, Rhianna is more on me and my homies radar than her.

But out of all of them, I think Chris got the most all around talent but has kinda fukked himself due to the Rhianna shyt. He's a target now and never gonna get the props he deserves. Too much of a lose cannon as well..

Trey is popular but mostly on with AA's..

August had a classic album but thats it... Barely see or hear from dude and I'm a fan

Im not fond of Frank Ocean but he is critically acclaimed and has a few hits..

Tiller has the best chance out of any new dude imo... He has a Weeknd like following with young people and honestly, his album was dope. If he has longevity he could take it from The Weeknd imo.

True but Beyonce share's the whole Drake dynamic, you might not feel their music but you can't deny what they do. Nobody is more successful than Beyonce besides Adele, Taylor Swift, and maybe Sam Smith. In the R&B world, it's Beyonce -------------------------> Rihanna ----> everybody else. But I agree with your Tiller point, I think he got next. The problem with Tiller is that he doesn't like the cameras and the media. People know his songs but don't know what he look like. He can't be a superstar like that.

Nah drake has staying power for sure. You don't think 20 years from now when teens are trending about the retro 2010s, that most of the songs won't be drake?

nope
drake ain't nothin' but another ja rule fo this era, a nelly fo this era. catchy pop music but nothin' that really sticks like talkin' bout
bruh is a corny and barely average rapper and a horrible singer. i don't see what people see in his rhymes or his horrible singin'
