To see this black boy fly, makes me feel there are glimmers of hope in this maniacal hispter world. The
reason why I love Kendrick and prays he continues on this glorious path, is that he methodically and
beautifully displayed another aspect of the perceived notion of growing up in an infamous hood. A lot of
us came from the hood, and all had the temptations to go astray, but didn't. To see this talented young
man show black and brown kids that you can rise above the negativity, and make it out of despair, and still keep it fly is
