I remember before GKMC came out, people were complaining about Backseat Freestyle and even Swimming Pools. Album was dope.

Before TPAB, people were saying "I" was a weak song, but the album ended up being dope as well.

The point I'm making is, a single can not only grow on you within the context of the album, but the rest of the songs are likely much better.
