Drake stans wanted him to come with more super depth, super musical shyt that they could write off as overproduced and "lyrical , miracle"

last thing they wanted was for Kendrick to come through with a slap. It forces them to readjust the angle of their hate and makes them uncomfortable toward his position in rap when he can make a slap better than the guy they laud.

This is an addicting song

Wouldn't be surprised if it goes #1 to be honest.

I hope this is just another Backseat Freestyle type cut.

It's a good single, viral, and humorous. But I hope this next LP brings some other ideas and sounds to the table, which it likely will.

Okay, so following the pattern of Kendrick's singles release schedule, i and Backseat Freestyle were the first and second single released on their respective albums. Like Humble, they lack context at the moment. But I think its placement in the album will make sense thematically.
